  Pension Committee
The Pension Committee reports to the Audit Committee of the MTS Board of Directors. The Pension Committee met twice in 2000 where, in accordance with their mandate, they reviewed the results of the funding and COLA actuarial valuations, reviewed the results of the 1999 Annual Report survey, and were briefed on the Plan’s investment performance.

At the end of 2000, the members of the Pension Committee were:

Rod Pennnycook (Chair) Retired, The Great-West Life Assurance Company
Irene Groot-Koerkamp Director, Law, MTS
Bryan Luce Vice-President Human Resources, MTS
Carl Martz IBEW Representative
Harry Restall Retiree Representative
Bill Shelest Compensation and Benefits Manager, MTS
Pat Solman Treasurer, MTS
Iris Taylor CEP Representative
Larry Trach TEAM Representative

The Pension Committee may also make recommendations to the Audit Committee on changes to pension benefits. In order to establish a consistent process for the review of proposed changes to the MTS Pension Plan, the Pension Committee established a subcommittee specifically for this purpose.
